Recommendations for Consumers

While shopping, keep a safe
1,5-meter distance from other
customers and sellers.

Maintain hygiene – use a card or mobile device (watch, cell phone) to make payments as these devices, especially contactless, minimize the risk of contamination.

After returning home from shopping wash your hands with soap and warm water (for 30 seconds) and clean your card, watch, phone – use a spray to disinfect the surface (apply the spray from a distance of ca.30 centimetres and do not touch the device for 2-3 minutes after cleaning). After unpacking your shopping bags, wash your hands again.
Remember
Follow general recommendations of the Ministry of Health. Maintain hygiene and with your own actions try to minimize the spreading of coronavirus.

Make sure the shop employees wash their hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and warm water (for 30 seconds) or disinfect them with alcohol-based agent (minimum 60%). Remind them of health and safety rules.

Ensure that self-service checkouts, countertops, counters and tables, door handles, light switches, handrails, carts and baskets, as well as payment terminals and keyboards are regularly cleaned with disinfectant or wiped with detergent with water. Before disinfecting the terminal, put on disposable protective gloves, disconnect the pin pad from the POS terminal and disconnect it from the power source; for mobile terminals, turn off the device. Then apply the cleaning agent onto clean soft fabric made of cotton or flannel, remove excess liquid (excess liquid could get inside the device and damage the terminal, therefore, never spray the cleaning agent directly on the device). Also, make sure that all the common rooms are cleaned regularly and carefully, with the use of water with detergent.

Do not be afraid to reprimand tym, those who do not keep safe distance from customers and the cashier (1.5 meters). Limit the exposure of unpacked food in the shop.

Remember about others in a heathy way
Remember about your loved ones – it is a difficult period for elderly people and persons living alone. A short phone call will definitely make them feel better.
When going shopping – if you feel up to it – remember about your neighbours, especially the elderly, who should limit leaving the house to a minimum. You can also place an advertisement with information about the offered help in a visible place.

Limit leaving home – including shopping. Create shopping lists, do not leave to buy one item. Even grocery shopping can be done online.
